First impression of this site was strong. However it appears that the abstracts shown are the blog author's opinions, not the published abstracts. Also, although the site claims to be comprehensive, I could not find any pick-up of a huge recent development, the success of gene therapy for PD. Please correct me if I'm wrong, but I think this site is not what it claims to be.

For those that want them links are given to the complete published abstracts published on PubMed for every citation referred to. So if anyone wants the original source it is available to them. What appears in the blog is a summary of the published research. The citations are summarised because much of what appears in abstracts is in biochemical gobbledeegook that most people don't understand, or is in excruciating detail - much more than what most people would want. There is also analysis where appropriate because authors of citations are often misleading about their own research. It is important to put what they write in perspective rather than solely quote their own opinions of what they do. The site started only recently. There has been no published research at all concerning success of gene therapy in Parkinson's Disease during this period. The site is certainly what it claims to be as no other web site has a more comprehensive coverage of new research, news and new boo

(currently we have about 3200 signatures) With your help, we can do this. Please send this link to the petition to friends & family far and wide. http://www.pdstamp.org . . . Jean
